A Silver Horizon
Inspired by Zhan Wang’s Stainless Steel Garden Rock, this space invites visitors into an immersive journey, guiding movement while fostering quiet reflection. The layout choreographs the path toward the sculpture, creating a luminous tunnel that unveils the rock from multiple angles. Every element, from floor to ceiling, is designed to draw the eye to the silver centerpiece. Sunlight streams through the skylight and expansive windows, bathing the space in natural light and encouraging visitors to pause, reflect, and fully inhabit the serene environment.
Conceptual Designs
During my time in the Architecture program at the University of Texas, we focused on understanding the built environment, emphasizing the importance of adding and subtracting space to create more functional, expansive environments. To bring our designs to scale, we carved wood and modeled with chipboard, allowing us to explore and visualize spaces and their physical impact on the world.
Interlocking/Carving pieces of wood to fit together in various configurations.
Elevated perspectives/Designing a space to seamlessly integrate interior and exterior elements.
Visualizing scale/Conceptualizing and creating a space using provided floor plans.
